Victorian semi, Tunbridge Wells
Victorian semi-detached · Tunbridge Wells, Kent · April 2026

Priya (36, NHS pharmacist) and Daniel (38, secondary-school teacher) bought their four-bed Victorian semi knowing the windows were on borrowed time — painted-shut sashes, single glazing, and a draught in the front bedroom you could fly a kite in. They'd pinned the same look for two years: fir green outside, soft white inside. Nine Victorian 2-over-2 sashes were configured in an evening, priced on screen, and made to the smallest of their three measurements per opening. Their production drawings flagged one opening 25mm out of square — allowed for before anything was cut. A local joiner hung all nine in two days. The two-colour finish is the thing visitors comment on: RAL 6009 to the street, warm white to the rooms.

The house finally matches the picture in our heads — green to the street, calm inside. We chose both colours from an actual numbered chart, not a salesman's swatch.
